Terms of Service
Last edited September 20, 2026
These terms govern your use of Receipt Closet, provided by White River Media LLC. When you create an account you confirm you agree to them and to our Privacy Notice. We record the date and version you accepted.
1. Your account
You are responsible for your password, for access to the email address on your account, and for everything done through your account. Provide accurate information and tell us if you think your account has been compromised.
2. Your content
Your receipts and photos remain yours. You give us permission to store, process and display them only as needed to run Receipt Closet for you. Only add content you have the right to store.
3. Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the service: no attempts to break, overload or bypass its security, no access to other people’s accounts or data, no automated scraping, and nothing unlawful.
4. Not financial, tax or legal advice
Receipt Closet is a record-keeping tool. Text read from photos can be wrong, so review every receipt before relying on it. Exchange rates are informational, taken from public sources, and may differ from the rate on your card statement or the rate a tax authority requires. Reports and exports are not tax, accounting or legal advice.
5. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Services running but do not promise they will always be available or error-free. We may change or discontinue features. You can download your data at any time from the app.
6. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app, which permanently removes your data. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
7. Disclaimer and limits
Receipt Closet is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, White River Media LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data or profits, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it (which for a free account is zero). Nothing here limits rights you have under law that cannot be waived.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, USA, except where your local consumer law requires otherwise.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Continuing to use the Services means you accept the update.
